Our Foundation History
In 2013-14, Warrior Run community members and WRSD administrators initiated the first education foundation effort in support of the WRSD. The Warrior Run Education Foundation pursued fundraising to award their first grants in 2014-15. Since then, the Foundation gained 501(c)(3) status and reorganized as the Warrior Run Community Education Foundation.
Through community support, we are very proud to provide funds and support to the WRSD. Created in 1955 with two high schools and 8 elementary buildings, the District has now created a consolidated campus with a Jr/Sr High School and the new Warrior Run Elementary School. In the 2022-23 season, the new school, athletic fields, renovated athletic stadium, and field house opened. The school board has now embarked on upgrades to the Jr/Sr High.

GRANT SPOTLIGHT
A WRCEF Innovation Grant helped create this small rock garden, which sits in front of Warrior Run Elementary School. Unassuming at first, the rock garden is part of an ongoing initiative to teach kindergarten students about empathy, individuality, literacy, and art.
