A Brighter Future Ahead
The Warrior Run Community Education Foundation's First Century Fund provides funds to significantly maximize the impact the WR education campus has on WR students and community residents. The purpose of this campaign is to challenge our WR community to contribute $1,500,000 to help realize the brightest WRSD future possible. This is a once-in-a-generation fundraising effort to ensure that the FIRST CENTURY of Warrior Run’s existence (1955-2055) ends strong and with pride.

Update: May 1, 2025
"One hundred first graders were introduced to Indi robots, thanks to the generous donation from the Warrior Run Community Education Foundation. Indi is an unplugged robot that follows instructions (code) by reading colored tiles. These tiles tell Indi what direction to go and how fast. Our lesson began with students discussing whether or not a car can be self driving. We looked at Lightning McQueen, a fictional character, an SUV, and a Tesla, and had a class discussion as to whether or not self-driving cars are available to us to use. Students then worked in groups to discover the meaning of each tile, by matching the color tiles to the correct picture or direction icon, then worked together to program their robot."

DONOR SPOTLIGHT
We thank WAGGING TAIL COFFEE COMPANY for their 2024 pledge of $10,000 to the WRCEF. Both WR graduates, Meghan (Burrows) and Eric Solomon chose the bridge connecting the WR Elementary School to the Jr/Sr High parking lot for their company’s Naming Opportunity. A popular regional company, they were eager to support the Foundation efforts for Warrior Run students.
