Meg Suzuki Hudson, WR ’88
“I am the Outreach Coordinator and a Performing Member of San Jose Taiko, a Japanese American nonprofit performing arts company in San Jose, CA. Being a part of this company allows me to express myself musically, share my cultural heritage, and contribute to the San Jose Japantown community. San Jose Taiko has performed all over the US and internationally and this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary. My husband Alex is also a Performing Member, and our son Kazuki, 8, is a student in our Junior Taiko Program.”

“I owe a great deal to all of the teachers in the Warrior Run School District, but the music teachers hold a special place in my heart. Making a contribution to the First Century Fund was a small way of expressing my gratitude for the excellent musical education I received from them.”
Pamela Tipler, WR ’01
“After spending 12 years in the Army as an officer, doctor, and Flight Surgeon, I made roots in Augusta, GA. I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at Augusta University Health and the Medical College of Georgia. I am a Hospitalist, practice Palliative Care and Hospice, and teach Global Health and Palliative Care. I also serve as a medical missionary in Uganda.”

“I chose to donate to Warrior Run Community Education Foundation’s First Century Fund as I would not be where I am today without the school and teachers that supported me in so many ways. They instilled the knowledge and values in me that I still carry with me today. I am truly blessed to have been educated in the Warrior Run School District!!”
Kristen Hawley Turner, WR ’94 and brother Matthew Hawley, WR ’99 – Committed to the auditorium stage Naming Opportunity honoring Mrs. Connie Pawling-Young
“We often joke with our parents that the two central-PA Hawley kids who grew up next to old-order Amish now live and work in the two biggest metropolitan areas in the US - on opposite coasts! While Matthew makes video games in California and Kristen works as a professor of education in the NYC metro area, we both acknowledge the skills and confidence we developed through our participation in choir, show choir, and the musicals at Warrior Run.”

“In our professional roles, both of us present regularly to a variety of audiences, drawing on lessons we learned from “Mrs. P” and our peers to prepare, think on our feet, and deliver. We both know that we learned incredible lessons about teamwork, perseverance, overcoming challenges, and striving for excellence on Warrior Run’s stage, and we want to honor the tradition that helped us become who we are today.”
