Spring sports are in full gear with special commemoration focused this month on the WRSD softball and baseball fields.

A family and local companies have chosen naming opportunities to celebrate history and to show appreciation for the WRSD.

Carl Forman and family
Carl Forman and family of Formans Grain gave a major gift donation in honor of friends and family to name the softball field — FORMAN SOFTBALL FIELD.WRCEF thanks them for this decision and their devotion to the Warrior Run School District.

Honoring their parents, the family of Peg and Bob Hontz chose a commemoration that honors the long past history of these much-loved Warrior Run teachers with the naming of HONTZ BASEBALL FIELD. Mr. and Mrs. Hontz served Warrior Run with Peg as a health and physical education teacher and Bob as a teacher and high school guidance counselor. His love of baseball and coaching history made the baseball field a fitting choice for their four sons to honor them. All Warrior Run graduates, they are Rob ’61, Ted ’63, Dave ’65, and Jim ’66. Ted and Jim were unable to attend but Rob and Dave joined the commemoration on Senior Night for the team. The Foundation appreciates this major gift donation.

Thank you to Turbotville National Bank for a major gift naming opportunity designating their gift towards the FORMAN SOFTBALL FIELD SCOREBOARD. An early decision marked the Bank's interest and support for the Foundation’s First Century Fund Campaign and the WRSD.
