Our 10 year evolution has moved us forward in so many ways. Originally created in 2013-14 as the Warrior Run Education Foundation, the Foundation later applied for, received official designation, and now operates as an independent tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Now named the Warrior Run Community Education Foundation (WRCEF), our organization is separate from the WRSD but works hand-in-hand with the District, raising resources to help fulfill educational needs of Warrior Run students and staff.

Thank you to MoJo Active of Watsontown for this logo design. When you see it, know that thoughtful decisions are being made about the good use of contributions to impact Warrior Run students.

What is the WRCEF funding this spring?

1. Eclipse Glasses $2400
2. YIP grants $5000
3. Art Show $1300

Clouds or not, WR students learned much about the solar eclipse with the WRCEF providing eclipse glasses for all students and staff. High school science teachers Eric Greig and Ryan Duffy spearheaded the initial effort with a grant application. These students sit on the edge of the elementary school playground.

The WR Chapter of Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) evaluated applications from non-profits benefitting youth to award a total of $5000 to Camp Koala, DIG Furniture, Father’s Hope, Hunter’s Heart & Hustle, Hustle Football and Cheer Camp, Kelsey’s Dream, Kingdom SafeKIDZ, and North Montour Rec. Assn. for subsidized swimming.
